The person behind the picks
About Me
I am Greg and I am a Dota 2 enthusiast, just like you. I love the game — but more than that, I LOVE to watch the pro games. Don't ask me why. I just do. Always have.
I played Dota semi-pro. I was serious about it — high MMR, grinding every day, studying the game the way other people study for exams. I knew the heroes, the itemization, the timings, the drafts. I lived it. And that foundation never really went away.
Now I'm older, I have a family, and the grind is not something I can do anymore. But watching? Guys, I watch everything. Every tournament, every series, every patch note. I follow every tier 1 team, I know every player — their playstyles, their tendencies, who they work well with, who they clash with. To me, pro Dota is one of the most fascinating competitive games in the world and I will never stop watching it.
That's where this site comes from. I wanted a place where I could track everything properly — team ELO rankings that actually reflect recent form, tournament coverage that goes deeper than a scoreline, player profiles that tell you who these people really are as competitors. And a blog where I can break down what I'm seeing, call out the drafts that impressed me, and point at the things other people are missing.
Everything on this site is me. Every pick, every ranking, every write-up. I do not have a team of writers or an algorithm spitting out content. It is just me, watching the games, thinking about what I saw, and writing it down.
If you want to know exactly how I approach predictions — the model, the form reads, the playstyle matchups, the draft tendencies, the traps I try to avoid — I wrote it all out in detail: How to predict Dota 2 matches.
I hope you find it useful. And if you love pro Dota even half as much as I do — welcome. You're in the right place.
