Darklord

Mikhail "Darklord" Blinov (born November 24, 2003) is a Ukrainian professional Dota 2 carry currently playing for Rune Eaters. At 22 years old, Darklord is one of the most explosive MMR climbers in Eastern Europe—13,000 in July 2024, 14,000 in September 2024, 15,000 in March 2025, and 16,000 in April 2025.

Darklord started in September 2021 with the Miaww^^ stack at 17, winning bronze at the Dota 2 Gamestars L'Oréal Men Expert Season 2 for one hundred dollars. That's the entry point. He cycled through X3, One Move, DRAINERS, and Dead Inside Party—the standard Eastern European development grind—before Sigma. YNT gave him his first real structure in early 2022. Results were modest, but his individual play was getting noticed. Wayfarers came next; then Cybercats in May 2023, where he settled for a while; and then 9Pandas in January 2024—his first genuine tier-1 opportunity.

The 9Pandas chapter was his most visible. He competed in DreamLeague Season 22 qualifiers, ESL One Birmingham qualifiers, and Elite League 2024—where the team qualified but finished last in the group stage, earning $2,000, the largest single tournament payout of his career at the time. Failed TI 2024 qualifiers, failed Riyadh qualifiers. He left 9Pandas in January 2025. Since then he's been through Team Lynx, Kalmychata, Quantum, Yellow Submarine briefly, Team Stariy Bog, and now Rune Eaters—grinding the TI 2026 Europe Closed Qualifiers.

Playstyle and Reputation

Darklord plays carry aggressively—fast farming, early fighting, the kind of position 1 who doesn't wait for six items before showing up. The MMR trajectory tells you the individual quality is real. 16,000 MMR at 21 years old is not a number you reach by accident. What he hasn't found yet is the stable team structure that lets that individual quality translate into consistent results at the tier-1 level. Every player who has watched him in pubs or tier-2 events knows the ceiling is there. The scene just hasn't given him the platform yet.
