Paparazi

Zhang “Paparazi灬” Chengjun—also known at different points as Eurus and Kikyo—is a Chinese professional Dota 2 player born on June 27, 1996. He is primarily a position 2 midlaner, although he spent important parts of his career playing carry. After announcing his retirement in July 2023, Paparazi returned to competition and is currently listed as the midlaner for Team Refuser.

VG Era

Paparazi is best remembered internationally for his time with Vici Gaming, particularly the organization’s outstanding 2019 season. That lineup won both DreamLeague Season 11 and the EPICENTER Major 2019 before finishing fifth–sixth at The International 2019. He has also represented iG Vitality, Elephant, and Xtreme Gaming during a career stretching back to 2015.

Early Career

Paparazi entered professional Dota 2 in 2015 with Immortal Magneto Gaming and subsequently played for Team FanTuan and Invictus Gaming before establishing himself with iG Vitality. His first major team achievement came at World Cyber Arena 2016, where iG.Vitality defeated Vici Gaming 3–2 in the final. He also finished fourth at the Dota 2 Asia Championships 2017 and qualified for The International 2017.

His reputation grew even faster through individual competition. Paparazi won the DAC 2017 Solo Tournament, defeating SumaiL, Sccc, and Miracle during the event, and successfully defended the title at DAC 2018. After joining Vici Gaming in September 2017, he developed from a carry-oriented prodigy into one of China’s most accomplished and flexible core players.

Following later spells with Elephant and Xtreme Gaming, Paparazi retired after Riyadh Masters 2023. He nevertheless made selected appearances in 2024 and 2025 before committing to a full return with Team Refuser for the 2026 season, alongside old Chinese players such as Pyw and Dy.

Playstyle and Reputation

Paparazi’s game is built around high-level mechanics, strong laning, and the ability to convert individual farming into team-fight impact. His competitive hero history includes mobile midlaners such as Storm Spirit, Ember Spirit, and Puck; lane-dominating cores such as Queen of Pain and Viper; and traditional carries including Morphling and Juggernaut. He recorded the highest average KDA at EPICENTER Major 2019, the tournament won by Vici Gaming.

His background in both positions, one and two, makes him unusually adaptable. Earlier teams could use him as the primary late-game win condition, but his more recent Team Refresher matches have emphasized active mid heroes, including Storm Spirit, Ember Spirit, Invoker, and Pangolier.

Fun Facts

In the original DotA, he used the Chinese ID 拒绝者, meaning approximately “rejector” or “one who refuses.”

He changed from the ID Yuno to Paparazi灬 because Chinese caster Wang Jing was also using Yuno. He has subsequently competed under Eurus and Kikyo as well.

He was the all-time leader in premium/professional matches played on Juggernaut, with 108 appearances.
