Biography
Yang "Erika" Shaohan (born May 5, 2000), also known as YSR-04E, is a Chinese professional Dota 2 carry currently playing for Team Resilience. At 26 years old, Erika is one of the more quietly experienced carries in the Chinese scene — a TI veteran, a player who spent nearly three years at Vici Gaming during one of the org's most competitive periods, and now heading to TI 2026 in Shanghai after qualifying through the China regional qualifier.
Career
Erika started with KG.L in 2018 and worked his way up through the Chinese domestic ladder — KG proper in 2020, then Vici Gaming in September 2020. The VG years were the longest and most productive stretch of his career. He spent over two years there, competed in multiple DPC CN seasons, and reached a top-6 finish at The International 2021 — his first TI and his best result to date. Morphling was already emerging as his signature hero during this period, with 81 professional matches across his career.
After leaving VG in April 2023, he went through Team TLD briefly, then Team Aster from November 2023 to February 2024. Team Zero came next – where he competed at TI 2024 alongside his current teammate zzq, finishing 13th-16th. Not the result you want, but a second TI appearance. Team Titan followed in November 2024, then Tearlaments in March 2025, where the team reached BLAST Slam V and beat Xtreme Gaming before losing to Falcons. When Tearlaments dissolved, Team Resilience was formed in April 2026 with Erika as the carry alongside Echo, Niu, plAnet, zzq, and Coach Super. They won ESL Challenger China Season 3 x ACL 2026, qualified for EWC 2026, then beat everyone in the TI 2026 China qualifier to take the first seed.
Playstyle and Reputation
Morphling and Faceless Void are his go-to carries – scaling heroes that reward patience and precise decision-making. He's not a flashy carry who creates his own highlights. He farms, he hits timings, and he shows up to fights with items. In a Chinese team structure that relies on disciplined macro play, that profile fits perfectly. The fact that two TI appearances didn't produce the results his individual quality deserves says more about team context than anything else.
Fun Facts
He's gone by at least a dozen aliases across his career – "Stay Gold", "Solitude", "Orion", "Branded", "Cosmetic", and "Horizon". Erika and YSR-04E are the ones that stuck. Nobody has fully explained the naming philosophy and probably nobody ever will.
Erika and zzq played together at Team Zero at TI 2024 and are now teammates again at Team Resilience heading to TI 2026. When you find someone who works, you keep them.
