How Much Money Did I Actually Make Betting on My Own Dota 2 Predictions?

Every single week I get the same messages in my DMs and comments. “How much money have you actually made?” “What’s the real ROI?” "Do you bet on matches?"

I’ve ignored them on purpose for a long time. Not because I’m ashamed of the ROI. But because the second you start posting, “I made €3,400 following these picks," people immediately start living in a fantasy. A fantasy where you think you can make a living betting on Dota matches (actually any betting, not just esports). And that fantasy is dangerous. You do not get rich betting on Dota 2. You just don’t.
I can pull/add odds and show you the ROI directly into the tournaments, since I already have the infrastructure to do it, it would be easy:
But I’ve watched it happen too many times. So for months I refused to publish any real money numbers. I only showed the accuracy. The win rate. The public track record. That felt honest. The moment you add euros and ROI, something changes in how people read it. But the messages never stopped. So today I’m making an exception. Not because I suddenly want to flex. Not because I want anyone to start depositing more money. I’m doing it so I can finally answer the question properly and then never have to answer it again.
How I actually bet?
I put a flat €10 on every single pick I publish on this site.
- Match winner only.
- No first blood.
- No first tower.
- No total maps.
- No handicaps.
- No, "Will they take Roshan before minute 20?".
None of that casino garbage that turns normal people into degenerates. I treat it exactly the same way I treat betting on football: small stake, result of the match, done. I never increase the stake after a win. OR you can end up like this guy (who thinks I am responsible for his losses xD).

I NEVER double up after a loss. I never CHASE. I do this because I can afford it and because it’s fun. The money I put on these matches is entertainment money. Nothing more. The moment it stops being entertainment and starts becoming “I need this win,” the bookmakers have already won.
The full numbers (as of October 2026)
Here is the complete picture. No cherry-picking. No selected periods. Every published pick with a flat €10 stake:
- 970 bets
- 675 wins
- 70% hit rate
- €9,700 total staked
- +€3,453.71 profit
- +35.6% ROI
That’s the real number. You can go check the public track record on the site right now and verify almost every single result yourself. The accuracy is open. The picks are timestamped before the draft. Nothing gets deleted.

And yes… I also lose money. Regularly.
People see +35% and assume it’s some smooth green line going up forever. It’s not. Look at the Europe closed qualifiers, for example:
-
BLAST Slam VIII Europe Closed Qualifier: 6 bets: –€21.16 (–35%)
-
BLAST Slam IX Europe Closed Qualifier: 6 bets: –€20.40 (–34%)
Six bets. Six bets and you’re already down more than twenty euros. It happens. DreamLeague Season 29 finished at basically break-even (+1.5%). 1win Essence 2026 was only +4.6%. There are whole tournaments where the bankroll just sits there or goes backwards for weeks. That’s variance. That’s Dota. Anyone who pretends they never have losing runs is either lying or only shows you the screenshots after the good weeks. I have bad stretches. Sometimes several of them in a row. The difference is I don’t panic, and I don’t start forcing bigger stakes to “get it back.”
The underdog part that actually drives a lot of the profit
A meaningful chunk of that +€3,450 did not come from picking Team Spirit every time they were 1.30 favourites. Some of the biggest jumps in the bankroll came from higher odds. Look at the table yourself:

- PARI Universe Qualifier averaged 4.18 odds: +270% ROI on those 14 bets
- DreamLeague Season 30 Western Europe Closed Qualifier averaged 4.60: +115%
- Several play-ins and smaller events sat at 2.20–2.60 average odds and still produced 60%+ ROI.
When the underdog reads land, the profit explodes. When they don’t, it hurts (that's why sometimes I sound like a hater in the aftermath). That’s the price of actually trying to find value instead of just reverse-engineering the betting line every single match. I still get a lot of those calls wrong. The track record is public. You can go check every single miss.
A few things worth keeping in mind:
I’m only posting these numbers because the DMs became annoying, and I would rather give one complete, honest answer than keep repeating “I don’t share that.” The reality is simple:
- Yes, following every pick with flat €10 stakes would have been profitable over almost 1,000 bets.
- No, this does not mean you will get rich.
- No, past results guarantee future ones.
- Yes, there are losing periods — sometimes painful ones.
- Yes, I still only bet amounts I can comfortably afford to lose for fun.

If you decide to use any of the predictions on this site, please treat them the same way I do. Small stakes. Match winners only. Money you do not need. The second it stops being fun and starts becoming a pressure, stop. Betting is NOT a job.
It’s not a side hustle.
You know how many times I've heard people saying that they are professional bettors? It blows my mind when I hear something like this. It’s not a way to build wealth. It is something I do with money I can afford to lose while trying to stay honest about every prediction I make. That is the only version of this that doesn’t slowly turn toxic. The bookmakers want you to believe the opposite. They want you chasing. They want you increasing stakes. They want you thinking the next underdog is going to change your life. Don’t give them that. Bet just for fun, and stay safe!
