Biography
Daniel “Ghost” Chan Kok Hong (born January 14, 1998) is a Malaysian professional Dota 2 carry player currently playing for GamerLegion. At 28 years old, Ghost has quietly built one of the most experienced and adaptable carry careers in the scene, known for his clean farming, strong laning, and ability to scale into absolute monsters when the game goes long.
Early Career
Ghost started grinding professionally back in 2018–2019 through the SEA scene with teams like Galaxy Racer and Sparking Arrow Gaming. He slowly made a name for himself with solid performances on BOOM Esports and later got his big break when he joined Royal Never Give Up. Those years helped him learn how to survive in super competitive environments and sharpened his mechanics against tough Chinese and SEA lineups.
Rise with Bigger Stages
Things really picked up when Ghost stepped into Nigma Galaxy as a stand-in. He played a huge part in their solid Top 6 run at The International 2025, where many people noticed how stable and dangerous he looked on late-game carries. After parting ways with NGX at the end of 2025, he became everyone’s favorite stand-in — popping up for MOUZ, Myth Avenue, and most recently Yakult Brothers during ESL One Birmingham 2026.Even though Yakult had a rough group stage, Ghost showed why he’s still a respected name. He delivered some really clean games and proved he can step into almost any team and perform. Right after Birmingham, in late March 2026, he officially joined GamerLegion as their new position 1. It’s a fresh chapter for him in the North American roster as they push for the big qualifiers ahead.
Playstyle and Reputation
Ghost is the definition of a reliable, high-net-worth carry. He doesn’t always go for the craziest plays, but he farms efficiently, hits his timings, and punishes teams that let the game drag. His hero pool is full of scaling beasts — Juggernaut, Faceless Void, Morphling, Lone Druid, and TA. Give him space and he will take over.In the community, people respect him for his consistency and adaptability. He’s played in SEA, China, and now NA scenes without losing his level. Not the loudest or flashiest guy, but when Ghost gets rolling, he’s the kind of carry that makes you scared to go late.
