Lin "planet" Hao (born June 24, 1998) is a Chinese professional Dota 2 soft support currently playing for Team Resilience. At 27 years old, planet is one of the most quietly consistent position 4 players the Chinese scene has produced—over 480 professional matches, nearly $250,000 in career earnings, a TI 2023 top-3 finish, a TI 2025 playoff run with Tidebound, and now heading to TI 2026 in Shanghai with Team Resilience after coming back from eye surgery.

Career

planet started in August 2018 with MAX.Y, spending two years grinding failed qualifiers before EHOME picked him up in March 2020. The EHOME period built his DPC experience. Phoenix Gaming followed, then EHOME again, then the move that changed everything—PSG.LGD in 2021. With PSG.LGD, he posted the highest average assists per game (15.67) of any player in the entire CN Upper Division Tour 1 of the 2021/22 DPC season. That stat is not a footnote—it describes a position 4 who was everywhere on the map, enabling every fight, every rotation, and every team play. He then played at TI12 with LGD in 2023, where Niu was the carry and they finished 3rd. First TI podium. Career earnings jumped significantly.

After LGD disbanded in 2024, he went through Azure Ray as a loan, officially signed, and then joined Tidebound in January 2025 alongside Shiro, Y, Bach, and Echo. Tidebound reached TI 2025 playoffs, finished 7th-8th, won DreamLeague Division 2 Season 2, and made consecutive tier-1 appearances before disbanding in December 2025. The experienced names—Shiro, Y, and Bach—moved to Vici Gaming. PlAnet stood in for VG briefly at FISSURE Playground 2 when pyw couldn't attend due to his wedding. Then he went his own way, joined Team Resilience in April 2026, took time off for eye surgery in late March, came back, and qualified for TI 2026 as first seed out of China.

Playstyle and Reputation

planet is a support who wins team fights through presence—always in the right place, always enabling the right play. The 15.67 average assists per game in the 2021/22 DPC CN season tells the whole story. He doesn't need skills or a farm. He needs to be everywhere his team needs him, and he consistently is. In a team resilience lineup built around Erika's scaling carry and Echo's mid-tempo, planet is the connective tissue that makes the system function.

In an interview at Clavision Masters 2025 alongside Shiro, he said simply: "As long as everyone keeps putting in the effort, CN Dota will win more championships." Low-key, confident, team-first. That's a planet in one sentence.

Fun Facts

He had eye surgery in late March 2026 and came back in time to qualify for TI 2026. The recovery timeline between surgery and a TI qualifier is not something most players would attempt. He did it and took first seed.
