Mikoto

Rafli “Mikoto” Fathur Rahman was born on February 28, 2000, in Indonesia. He is a professional midlaner currently playing for Aurora Gaming and is widely regarded as one of the strongest mid players produced by Southeast Asia.

Mikoto is known for aggressive laning, mobile playmaking heroes, and his ability to become an additional carry from the mid position. His career includes lengthy periods with BOOM Esports and Talon Esports, followed by his move to Aurora in October 2025.

Early Life and Career

Mikoto was introduced to Dota by his brother and spent much of his early gaming life playing in local internet cafés. He began competing professionally in 2017 with Pandora Esports before joining Alter Ego in 2018.

Later in 2018, he joined BOOM Esports. During nearly three years with the organization, Mikoto developed into one of Southeast Asia’s most recognizable midlaners. BOOM became a consistent regional contender, while his individual performances attracted international attention.

Talon Esports

Mikoto joined Talon Esports in November 2021 and helped the organization progress from the lower division of the Southeast Asian DPC into international competition. Talon qualified for The International 2022, although its first TI appearance ended in the group stage.

The team’s strongest period came in 2023. Talon finished third at the Lima Major, fourth at DreamLeague Season 20, third at Riyadh Masters, and 7th–8th at The International 2023. Mikoto was named MVP of Riyadh Masters 2023 following several high-impact performances.

Bleed Esports and Return to Talon

Mikoto joined Bleed Esports in early 2024 but returned to Talon after several months. He helped the rebuilt roster qualify for The International 2024 and continued representing the organization throughout most of 2025.

During this period, he remained one of Talon’s main win conditions and continued receiving recognition from other professional players for his laning ability, work ethic, and mechanical skill.

Aurora Gaming

Mikoto initially joined Aurora as a stand-in in October 2025 and became a permanent member later that month. His arrival provided Aurora with a high-tempo midlaner capable of creating space for Nightfall while also scaling into a secondary damage source.

With Mikoto in the lineup, Aurora won FISSURE Universe: Episode 8 and reached the Grand Finals of DreamLeague Season 28, PGL Wallachia Season 8, and DreamLeague Season 29. He was particularly influential on mobile mids during Aurora’s long winning streak in early 2026.

Playstyle and Reputation

Mikoto specializes in mechanically demanding heroes such as Storm Spirit, Ember Spirit, Puck, Queen of Pain, Void Spirit, and Templar Assassin. These heroes allow him to pressure lanes, find solo kills, and control the tempo of the mid game.

He generally plays a higher-economy mid style than utility-focused players. When Aurora’s draft allows him to accumulate resources, Mikoto can function as a second carry alongside Nightfall.

Fun Facts

Mikoto became the first Indonesian player and the sixth professional player overall to reach 10,000 MMR in February 2020. He later reached 14,000 MMR in August 2024, 15,000 in January 2025, and 16,000 in July 2025.

He was introduced to Dota by his older brother, who also helped persuade their parents to support Mikoto’s decision to pursue esports professionally.
