Team Yandex

Team Yandex is a professional Dota 2 organization that entered the scene on June 23, 2025, by acquiring the Cyber Goose roster. Within its first competitive season, the organization developed from a regional project into a regular finalist at Tier 1 events.

Formation and Early Roster

The original Team Yandex lineup was built around players from the Cyber Goose project, including Chira_Junior. Early results were inconsistent, and the organization made several changes during the second half of 2025.

The most important rebuild came in October 2025, when watson and Malady joined the roster and Saksa began playing with the team. This lineup finished third at FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2 and second at BLAST Slam V.

DreamLeague Season 27

Team Yandex secured its first Tier 1 championship at DreamLeague Season 27 in December 2025. The team defeated Virtus.pro and Tundra Esports before beating Team Spirit in both the upper-bracket final and the Grand Final.

Yandex won the final 3-1, giving most of the roster its first major international title. The result established the organization as a leading team entering the 2026 season.

Major Achievements in 2026

Team Yandex won PGL Wallachia Season 7 in March 2026, defeating Team Liquid 3-2 in the Grand Final. At the time, DM was playing with the roster in the offlane.

DM officially joined in May, replacing Noticed. The updated lineup then won BLAST Slam VII with a 3-1 victory over LGD Gaming. Yandex also finished second at ESL One Birmingham 2026 and third at the Esports World Cup 2026.

The International 2026

Team Yandex entered TI 2026 as a direct invite. After finishing the group stage with a 2-3 record, the team defeated LGD Gaming in the Elimination Round to reach the playoffs.

Yandex defeated Team Liquid and Nigma Galaxy before losing to TEAM VISION in the upper-bracket final. A loss to Team Spirit in the lower-bracket final ended the team’s run in third place, the best result in the organization’s short history.

Playstyle and Reputation

Team Yandex generally plays around watson’s farming efficiency while using Chira_Junior and DM in flexible core roles. Saksa provides initiation and movement from position four, while Malady focuses on lane support, vision, and team-fight utility.

The roster is capable of playing both extended, economy-focused games and faster compositions built around early rotations. Its results across DreamLeague, PGL, BLAST, EWC, and TI demonstrated consistency across several tournament formats.

Fun Facts

Team Yandex won its first Tier 1 event approximately six months after entering Dota 2.

The organization won DreamLeague Season 27, PGL Wallachia Season 7, and BLAST Slam VII within the same competitive season.

Chira_Junior is the only player retained from the organization’s original June 2025 roster.

Team Yandex finished third at its first International.
