Aurora Gaming

Aurora Gaming is a Serbian esports organization founded in 2022. Its Dota 2 division entered competition in November 2023 with a roster based in Southeast Asia before transitioning to an international Eastern European lineup in 2025.

Southeast Asian Origins

Aurora’s first Dota 2 roster featured 23savage, Armel, Jabz, Q, and Oli. The organization competed primarily through Southeast Asian qualifiers and qualified for The International 2024, where it finished 7th–8th.

The SEA roster also appeared at events including DreamLeague, PGL Wallachia, Riyadh Masters, and BetBoom Dacha. Several roster adjustments followed during 2024, including lorenof replacing Armel in the midlane.

The 2025 International Rebuild

Aurora released the remaining core of its SEA roster in February 2025 and rebuilt around Nightfall, kiyotaka, TORONTOTOKYO, Mira, and panto. The new roster shifted the team into Eastern European qualifiers and competitions.

The team finished fourth at DreamLeague Season 26, 5th–8th at the Esports World Cup 2025, and qualified for The International 2025. Mikoto replaced kiyotaka in October, while kpii joined the coaching staff.

Current Roster Era

Aurora completed its present roster in January 2026. TORONTOTOKYO took a competitive break, Oli left the team, and Ws and kaori joined Nightfall, Mikoto, and Mira.

This lineup combines players from Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia. Nightfall and Mira remained from the 2025 rebuild, Mikoto joined from the SEA scene, and Ws and kaori completed the roster.

Major Achievements in 2026

Aurora won FISSURE Universe: Episode 8 by defeating Team Spirit 3-2 and then won DreamLeague Division 2 Season 3.

The team followed those victories with second-place finishes at DreamLeague Season 28, PGL Wallachia Season 8, and DreamLeague Season 29. Aurora also finished fourth at BLAST Slam VII.

Aurora’s TI 2026 campaign ended in 9th–13th place after a loss to BetBoom Team in the Elimination Round. Despite that result, the team’s three major Grand Final appearances made early 2026 its strongest sustained competitive period.

Playstyle and Reputation

Aurora generally uses Nightfall as its primary late-game carry, with Mikoto taking either an active playmaking role or additional farm from mid. Ws provides initiation and scaling from the offlane, supported by Mira and kaori.

The lineup’s international composition gives Aurora experience across Eastern European, Western European, and Southeast Asian competitive systems. Its strongest results have come in events where the team successfully balances farm between all three cores.

Fun Facts

Aurora began its Dota 2 history with a Malaysian-based roster before moving to an international lineup.

The current roster includes players from Russia, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Ukraine.

Aurora’s first tournament victory came at FISSURE Universe: Episode 8 in February 2026.

The team reached three Tier 1 Grand Finals during the first five months of 2026.
