BoBoKa
Ye Zhibiao
Biography
Ye “BoBoKa” Zhibiao has been playing professionally since 2015, but most people properly noticed him during that insane Invictus Gaming run in 2017. iG won DAC by destroying OG 3-0, finished 3rd-4th at the Kiev Major, and then reached 5th-6th at TI7. BoBoKa was not sitting behind his cores and placing defensive wards—he was hunting people across the whole map. His 3.72 average kills at TI7 was the highest among all support players at the event.
Earth Spirit is obviously the hero everyone remembers. As of March 2025, BoBoKa had played 180 premium/professional games on the hero, more than anyone else, with 106 wins. But his real hero pool was never just Earth Spirit. Rubick, Tiny, Monkey King, Riki, Phoenix, Io—basically anything that could roam, start fights, steal farm for five minutes, and suddenly become another core. That was peak BoBoKa Dota.
The Xxs and BoBoKa Era
You cannot talk about BoBoKa without talking about Xxs. They played together through Invictus Gaming and then spent almost five years together on Team Aster. One report counted 1,755 official matches played by the duo with a 56.35% win rate. That is ridiculous. Most Dota rosters don’t survive 200 games without someone getting kicked xD.
The Aster years were strange because they were almost always strong, but rarely THE best team. Their peak came in 2022: 3rd at the Arlington Major, 2nd at ESL One Malaysia, and 4th at The International 2022. That TI result remains BoBoKa’s best finish at the event, and honestly, Aster was the only Chinese team at that tournament that looked capable of surviving against the best Western European squads.
After Aster, BoBoKa had shorter periods with BOOM Esports, Invictus Gaming/G2 x iG, Yakult Brothers, and Team Refuser. The results were inconsistent, but the player never disappeared. Every time Chinese Dota needed an experienced support who could play fifty heroes, BoBoKa somehow ended up on another relevant roster.
The Move to Position 5
Now comes the REALLY interesting part. BoBoKa joined Xtreme Gaming in September 2026 alongside Ame, Xm, zeal, and XinQ—but he is playing position 5 because XinQ is obviously taking pos 4. This is a major role change for a player who built his entire reputation as one of the greediest and most aggressive roaming supports in Dota.
BoBoKa has always understood how to find farm without completely ruining his cores. Moving him to pos 5 does not mean he suddenly becomes a ward bot who finishes every game with brown boots and a Magic Wand. He will still find a way to get items. The difference is that now he has to balance that instinct with enabling Ame, controlling the map, and probably taking more responsibility for the team’s calls.
