BZM

Bozhidar “bzm” Bogdanov was born on April 22, 2005, in Bulgaria. He is a professional midlaner currently playing for 1w Team. Known for his laning ability, mechanical execution, and proficiency on mobile playmakers, bzm has been competing at the Tier 1 level since he was 16 years old.

Early Career

Playing under the nickname hansha, bzm attracted attention in 2021 after reaching the top ten of the European leaderboard. His first notable professional experience came with Creepwave, where he played alongside ATF and qualified for ESL One Fall 2021.

OG selected both players for its rebuilt roster in November 2021. The decision immediately produced results: bzm won ESL One Stockholm Major 2022 and became the youngest DPC Major champion at 17 years and 30 days. OG later won ESL One Malaysia 2022, while bzm established himself as one of Europe’s leading young mids.

OG and Tundra Esports

bzm remained with OG through September 2024. Although the team did not consistently reproduce its 2022 success, he continued to demonstrate strong individual performances on Invoker, Ember Spirit, Puck, and the Spirit heroes.

He joined Tundra Esports in January 2025. That roster won FISSURE PLAYGROUND 1 and four consecutive BLAST Slam events—BLAST Slam II, III, IV, and V—before adding DreamLeague Season 28 and ESL One Birmingham 2026.

On June 1, 2026, bzm moved to 1w Team alongside the complete Tundra roster. The transfer preserved the existing lineup and coaching structure rather than creating a new team from separate pieces.

The International 2026

Iron Wing finished 7th–8th at TI 2026. bzm played both traditional tempo mids and several flexible strategies, including the role-swapped series against Team Yandex in which Pure and bzm exchanged farming responsibilities.

The event also showed the contrast between bzm’s natural playmaking style and a patch that frequently rewarded heavily scaling mids. His strongest performances came when he could become active, pressure the map, and use heroes such as Invoker, Earth Spirit, Lina, or Storm Spirit to initiate engagements. This remains the most natural expression of his game.

Playstyle and Reputation

bzm is a mechanically focused midlaner known for lane pressure, spell accuracy, and rapid map movement. His signature heroes include Invoker, Ember Spirit, Puck, Storm Spirit, Void Spirit, and Templar Assassin.

He is most effective when controlling the game’s tempo rather than playing exclusively around passive farming. His ability to rotate quickly and create early numerical advantages remains one of the roster’s main sources of explosiveness.

Fun Facts

The nickname bzm has jokingly been interpreted as “best zoomer mid.” In Russian-speaking broadcasts, he is also called bozhiy dar—“a gift from God”—a wordplay based on his first and last names.
