Biography
Rizki "Varizh" Varizh (born February 7, 1996) is an Indonesian professional Dota 2 hard support currently playing for REKONIX. Varizh is the oldest and most experienced player on the REKONIX roster — a decade-long grinder who started competing in 2016 and has quietly built one of the most extensive careers in Indonesian Dota without ever getting the platform his longevity deserved. Until now.
Early Career
Varizh's professional journey began in August 2016 with Rex Regum Qeon—one of Indonesia's most recognizable esports organizations—competing in the SEA Kappa Invitationals alongside players like Xepher and Kel'Thuzard. Those early years were defined by regional grinding across Indonesia, the Philippines, and Malaysia. He rotated through nearly 20 different teams over the next several years—The Prime, The Prime. Nas Ne Dogonyat, Army Geniuses, WOLF Gaming, Young Blood — collecting experience across virtually every tier of the SEA competitive ecosystem. His longest early stint came with The Prime, where he spent over a year building chemistry with a consistent lineup. Then Army Geniuses, where he achieved some of his best domestic results.
His most significant result before REKONIX was a 4th-place finish at the Epulze DPC Southeast Asia 2023 Tour 2—his highest placement in an official Valve circuit event, earning the team a meaningful prize share. Decent, but not the kind of result that changes your trajectory.
The years between 2023 and 2025 were a classic grinder's carousel—Teamless, Team Bocil, Mag.Garuda, Xepher+4, back to Army Geniuses, and Tech Free Gaming. The kind of run that tests whether a player genuinely loves the game or is just going through the motions. Varizh kept showing up.
REKONIX
In July 2025, REKONIX was formed from the TechFree Gaming core. Varizh was named as the hard support. What followed was the best run of his career—four consecutive EPL World Series Southeast Asia titles, a 20-match win streak, and two tier-1 LAN qualifications in their first year of existence. For a 30-year-old who had spent a decade grinding through Indonesian tier-2 without a major platform, it was a genuinely earned breakthrough.
The team's coach, Sundabule—who had been with the group since formation—departed after the DreamLeague Season 29 SEA qualifier. MinD_ContRoL joined on trial in April 2026. Varizh's STRATZ profile notes his signature hero as Disruptor, which says everything about how he operates in this system—control, vision, and disrupting enemy patterns from the hardest support position in the game.
Playstyle and Reputation
Varizh is a decade-seasoned hard support who has played with and against every tier of Indonesian competition. The depth of his experience shows in the way REKONIX's map control functions—the warding patterns, the tempo reads, and the decisions that don't show up in scoreboards but determine whether a team can actually sustain pressure at a tier-1 level. In a roster where Jikroy is 22 years old and Dalul was 23 at formation, Varizh is the anchor who has seen everything before and doesn't panic. Over 500 professional matches, 90 tournaments, and six first-place finishes across his career. At 30, REKONIX is the best team he has ever been on.
Fun Facts
Varizh started his professional career in 2016. Jikroy, the carry he now plays with at REKONIX, was 12 years old when Varizh played his first professional match. That age gap — the oldest and youngest players on the same roster, both integral to the team's success — is one of the more interesting dynamics in SEA Dota right now.
He has represented approximately 19 different teams across Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines. For comparison, the entire REKONIX roster combined might not have played for that many teams total.
Over a decade of professional Dota 2. His first tier-1 LAN appearance came nine years after his debut. Some stories just take longer.
