Bloodseeker
Strygwyr the Bloodseeker is a ritually sanctioned hunter, Hound of the Flayed Twins, sent down from the mist-shrouded peaks of Xhacatocatl in search of blood. The Flayed Ones require oceanic amounts of blood to keep them sated and placated, and would soon drain their mountain empire of its populace if the priests of the high plateaus did not appease them. Strygwyr therefore goes out in search of carnage. The vital energy of any blood he lets, flows immediately to the Twins through the sacred markings on his weapons and armor. Over the years, he has come to embody the energy of a vicious hound; in battle he is savage as a jackal. Beneath the Mask of the Bloodseeker, in the rush of bloody quenching, it is said that you can sometime see the features of the Flayers taking direct possession of their Hound.

When to Pick Bloodseeker?
Pick Bloodseeker when the enemy has squishy, low-HP heroes that simply cannot run away from you — because that's the whole point of this hero. He is disgusting in lineups where the enemy relies on healing (Bloodrage shuts that down completely) and where nobody has a real escape mechanism. Rupture on a hero with no mobility is basically a death sentence. He works great when your team has lockdown to hold enemies in place while BS runs them down with Thirst speed.
Avoid picking him into tanky, high-mobility lineups—Morphling, Storm Spirit, or any hero that can just blink or teleport away from Rupture will make your life absolutely miserable. It also feels terrible if the enemy can burst you down before Thirst even kicks in, because you are NOT a tanky hero—you are an executioner.
Tips & common mistakes
- Stop maxing Thirst first — Bloodrage gives you attack speed AND the heal, and it's your best laning tool. Max that first.
- Rupture is not a guaranteed kill. If you cast it on a hero with a Blink Dagger or a teleport scroll ready, you just threw your ultimate in the trash.
- Don't chase kills across the entire map just because Thirst is giving you godlike movement speed — that's how you get caught out of position and deleted.
- You need to end this game before 40 minutes. BS is a mid-game bully, not a late-game monster — if you let real carries come online, you are done.
- People pick BS into Axe, Bristleback, or Centaur and then wonder why nothing dies. You are NOT a damage sponge; you are a finisher—draft accordingly.
Summary
Bloodseeker is a hero that punishes bad drafts and squishy lineups — nothing more, nothing less. When you pick him correctly into the right matchup, you will make the enemy's life a living hell in the mid-game and snowball faster than almost any other carry. But if you force him into the wrong draft because he "looks cool"? You are the problem, not the hero. Pick smart, end fast, and don't let this drag into the late game where real carries will just outfarm and outlast you.
