Whitemon

Matthew “Whitemon” Filemon was born on July 22, 2000, in Indonesia. He is the position-five support for 1w Team and one of the most accomplished Indonesian players in Dota 2 history.

Early Career and T1

Whitemon began competing in 2018 with EVOS Esports and later represented Geek Fam. His international breakthrough came with T1, where he won ESL One Summer 2021 and finished 7th–8th at The International 2021.

After leaving T1, he moved to North America with TSM. The team finished second at BetBoom Dacha 2023 before its roster was briefly acquired by Team Undying and later incorporated into Tundra Esports.

Tundra Esports and 1w Team

Whitemon became the only member of the former TSM roster retained through Tundra’s subsequent rebuilds. He finished third at The International 2024 and later won FISSURE PLAYGROUND 1, four BLAST Slam events, DreamLeague Season 28, and ESL One Birmingham 2026.

He moved to 1w Team with the complete Tundra roster on June 1, 2026.

The International 2026

Whitemon helped Iron Wing finish 7th–8th at TI 2026. He identified discipline and objective focus as areas the team needed to improve after the group stage, particularly after several games in which they lost control from advantageous positions.

Playstyle and Reputation

Whitemon is a utility-focused hard support with a broad hero pool that includes Disruptor, Phoenix, Jakiro, Chen, Bane, Undying, and Ringmaster. He is valued for warding, defensive positioning, lane stability, and control during extended team fights.

His consistency across Southeast Asia, North America, and Western Europe has made him one of the most internationally experienced supports from his region.

Fun Facts

Whitemon’s nickname was inspired by his brother, a former DotA: Allstars player named Blackmon. He replaced “Black” with “White” to create his own identity.

He was one of the first two Indonesian players to qualify for The International and became the first Indonesian player to finish in the Top 3 at TI in 2024.
