zeal

Nicholas "zeal" Lim Eng Han (born November 16, 1998) is a Malaysian professional Dota 2 offlaner currently playing for GLYPH. At 27 years old, zeal is one of the most traveled players in SEA—a decade of professional Dota across Malaysia, China, and Europe, and the kind of offlaner who keeps finding new teams because every team that plays with him understands the value he brings.

Career

zeal started in 2016 with Riptide and spent the next few years grinding through Malaysian regional circuits before EHOME signed him in November 2021—his first real step into Chinese Dota. He spent over a year there, competing in DPC CN Division I and qualifying for regional finals. In December 2022 he left EHOME, spent time with Drinking Water, got signed by Myth Avenue, and then moved to PSG.LGD in March 2023, where the team finished 2nd in DPC CN Tour 2 Division I and made ESL One Berlin Major 2023. Not many Malaysian players can say they played for PSG.LGD. He can.

After LGD the carousel kept spinning—iG qualifier attempts, 1换1, Yakult Brothers, MOUZ briefly in May 2025, and then back to Yakult Brothers as a coach before rejoining the main roster in September 2025. At BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 with Yakult, he placed 5th. At ACL x ESL Challenger China in May 2025, the team finished 2nd and earned $30,000. Good results, but never quite the platform to match his experience level.

GLYPH changed that. Formed in January 2026, zeal was one of the founding pieces alongside Emo and JaCkky. The team won two consecutive EPL SEA titles, put together a 13-match win streak, qualified for BLAST Slam VII, and beat Team Falcons in the group stage on day one. For a player with this much grinding behind him, Copenhagen was a long time coming.

Playstyle and Reputation

A decade across SEA, China, and Europe shapes an offlaner in ways that pure regional players never develop. zeal has played against Chinese structure, European discipline, and SEA chaos—and adapted to all three. In an interview in June 2025, he said plainly, "I also want to prove that I'm not the person you guys label me as." That kind of comment from a player with his experience tells you there's been a long career of underestimation. GLYPH is his answer to it.

Fun Facts

Zel played for PSG. LGD — one of the most prestigious Chinese orgs in Dota 2 history — as a Malaysian player out of SEA. That doesn't happen often.
