Heroic is South America's flagship Dota 2 organization, blazing a trail from regional newcomers in early 2024 to top-6 finishers at The International, the highest placement ever achieved by a Latin American team.

Early Formation & First Steps

Heroic was founded on January 7, 2024, with an initial roster of Scofield, K1, KJ, 4nalog, and Davai Lama. The team was assembled with a bold ambition: skip the regional grind and go straight for tier-1 competition. Without wasting energy on regional events, they strived to seize every opportunity to compete with the world's top teams.

Rise and Competitive Breakthrough

After early matches and roster tweaks, Heroic began asserting itself on the international stage:

PGL Wallachia Season 2 (Oct 2024): Heroic claimed 1st place, earning $300,000—their most significant achievement to date and the first major international LAN title for a South American team.

The International 2025 (Sep 2025): Heroic finished 5th, equalling the highest placement ever achieved by a Latin American team—a historic milestone for the entire SA region.

FISSURE Universe Episode 7 (Oct 2025): Following post-TI roster adjustments, Heroic secured their second international title.

This climb—from debut to two-time international champions and TI top-6—cemented Heroic as the standard-bearer for South American Dota 2.

Playstyle and Reputation

Heroic built their identity around aggressive map control and a willingness to take unconventional strategic risks. Coach Kaffs has been with the organization since its inception, guiding the team through multiple roster changes while maintaining a consistent competitive identity. Their drafting philosophy evolved over time, with Wisper transitioning from offlane to midlane mid-season—a bold adaptation that delivered immediate results. Only two South American teams have ever secured a top-6 placement at The International—Thunder Awaken in 2022 and Heroic in 2025.

TaiLung, their current midlaner, reached 11,000 MMR at just 14 years old and joined Heroic at age 16 as one of the most hyped young talents in the scene.
