Aurora Gaming is a Serbian esports organization established in August 2022. Initially, their Dota 2 division was based in Malaysia, featuring players like Jabz, Armel, Oli, Q, and 23savage. However, in early 2025, Aurora transitioned to an Eastern European roster, now competing in the CIS region. The whole roster is based on a mix from 2 Giants in Dota2 Pro Scene (BetBoom Team and Team Spirit).

Competitive History

Aurora entered the professional circuit with aims to qualify for major events and secure LAN qualifications. Their early achievements included qualifying for The International and competing in events like Riyadh Masters and DreamLeague. Though not securing a championship, they impressed with top-8 and top-5 placements—notably a 5th place at Riyadh Masters 2025 in a strong field.

Throughout 2024 and early 2025, Aurora underwent several roster rebuilds, releasing their initial squad in February 2025 and recruiting a mix of seasoned pros and emerging talent, including Nightfall, Mikoto, TORONTOTOKYO, Mira, and Panto—reflecting the org’s drive to compete internationally.

Rebuild and Roster Evolution

After the early 2025 roster was released, Aurora quickly restructured, later signing a new lineup headed by Nightfall, Mikoto, and TORONTOTOKYO for the 2025 season.

In January 2026, the organization made further changes, bringing in Malaysian star Chung “Ws” Wei Shen (a top global ranked player known for tremendous MMR achievement) alongside support Oleg “Kaori” Medvedok, reinforcing Aurora’s blend of international experience and rising talent.

These changes signal Aurora’s ongoing commitment to crafting a competitive roster capable of challenging tier-1 teams in the coming competitive seasons.

Playstyle and Reputation

Aurora’s playstyle has shifted with its roster evolution, but core elements remain consistent: strong laning focus, mid-game rotations, and vision control, with drafts often tailored to flexible teamfight execution and strategic tempo management. Their international roster structure allows for a blend of high-level mechanical talent and seasoned strategic insight.

Despite fluctuating results, Aurora holds a reputation for surprise upsets, strong individual performances, and an aggressive but calculated approach to high-level play.
